With June often being the worst month for balloon-related outages, keep the popular colorful gifts tied down and never let them float away to help prevent damage and injuries.

SCE has experienced 18 percent of its balloon-related outages in June over the past five years, with May (14 percent) being the only other month even close in that category.
Balloons will never end up in power lines if they're tied to a weight as required by California law and never released outdoors.
Stray balloons can not only cause power outages, but also lead to property damage and injuries.
